Summary
When his vision adjusted and he dropped his arm, Cor stiffened. The far wall was full of security camera footage. Some were now blank, most likely ones that had been broken as they had advanced into the base. Some showed empty hallways, some office-like spaces and communal areas. A few were pointed at a row of empty cells. Then there were a handful of screens that had caused his reaction. On them, he could see a person chained into a wall. There were obvious injuries around their body, lacerations and bruises all around their bare chest and arms. Dark lines trailed down from the chained wrists, and it took a moment for Cor to realize it was blood.
“Oh my Gods,” Crowe gasped, eyes wide. “It’s Nyx.”

Summary
Cor was still committed to making it through the day. What kind of ‘guard would he be if he couldn’t do his job because of a little cold? There were so many people that doubted him, that were just waiting for him to fail and fall, many of them his fellow Crownsguards. He wasn’t going to give them that satisfaction which meant he would just have to power through the rest of the day, one way or another.
“Eos to Cor!” Cor’s head jerked up and he saw Clarus looking at him over his shoulder. The Shield gave him a pointed look. “Keep up, we’re almost there.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Cor rolled his eyes but took off in a jog to catch up to the guys.
