He didn’t mean to eat the apples. He didn’t mean to hurt anyone. He didn’t mean to kill anyone. One small mistake was all it took, and now, he had to sit and watch the consequences of his actions. Maybe someday, he’d have a chance to fix some of the harm that had been done, but that was just wishful thinking. Right?
