Mike lets out a frustrated groan and knocks his head back against the seat—like Hopper’s the one being cryptic here.
Mike’s voice cracks slightly when he repeats, “He hurt Will.” More urgent this time. More desperate.
“Okay. I get that,” Hopper says slowly. “But it doesn’t explain why—”
Mike cuts him off, sharp. “If Will didn’t tell you, then I’m not telling you.”

Summary
Sometimes, he did not fully understand the range of emotions that had been painted into him. He just trusted that they were there for a reason, like another sense to be used in battle. Except that this battlefield was laced with mines, impossible climbs with very poor handholds, and his opponent would occasionally run off without explanation.

Summary
A stranger things rewrite of seasons 3-5. Focuses on Will as the primary main character and centers his self-acceptance arc and powers much earlier in the story. Will's friendship with Max & Jane being developed earlier and being much more central to the story. Byler get together at the end of season three and are an established couple for the rest of the story. The plot will generally follow the one in the show until season five, where there will be changes made to fix plot holes and hopefully provide a more satisfactory conclusion. The goal for Jane's character is to allow her to develop her interests and identity outside of a relationship, and prove that she can live a happy life despite all the pain she has went through. The first shadow and all the lore we learn about in the play will play a major part in the rewrite of season five and the fic during the 18 month timeskip.

3. Shrouded Memory (10 chapters, 18 months between seasons 4 & 5 + the first shadow)

“It’s like he…” Robin trailed off.
Will raised his eyebrows at her imploringly.
Robin fiddled with her hair. “So you guys read comic books and all that nerdy shit, right?”
Lucas scoffed.
“So you know how there’s always this one supervillain with this really weird interest in the heroine?” Robin asked. “Like he thinks she’s too good for everyone else and should just… like… be with him?”
Will’s cheeks were turning a hot scarlet. “Robin–”
