“Hate summer…?” Hibiya asked, letting himself be pulled by her, “what are you talking about?”
“Maybe you’ll never know. I hope you don’t ever have to, but if you ever do — even if it’s tens of thousands of years from now. Tell me. Tell me that you hate this endless summer as much as I do.”

For silly little mirrors that she played with on the beach’s shore, for sea cast bottles that always returned, for teatime with friends, for the brioche she always loved, and… for her brother. She prayed with all her heart and soul, her eyes turned upwards towards the twinkling stars, as if somewhere, somehow, he would answer, and he would shine brightly like any star would just for her.
(She was able to smile, back then. And Allen had smiled back, an intense smile — calm, and gentle, like the moon that controlled the ocean’s tides).

His memories are still hazy from the whole thing. But he remembers it- the numb feeling that death brought you, the coldness that encases your whole body and refuses to let go.
