Summary
When the council of elders orders Kakashi to find a wife to ensure the longevity of the Hatake clan, they don't make it easy for him. His wife will know nothing of his life, his past, who he is, and he knows that he could never truly love her. He might care for her, would be good to her, but he would never be who she deserves. How can he, when he's so broken and lost? When he's so worn down and damaged?
Haruno Sakura knows nothing of shinobi, isolated as she is from the rest of the modern world. Raised by her parents to be a proper traditional wife, she's a songbird in a cage waiting to be sold to the highest bidder. When her father arranges a marriage to a man from a world beyond, leaving home is a release as much as it is a terror. Summary
Sakura is lost, injured and alone in a forest far from home. The circumstances that led up to this are much less clear. A mysterious mental fog blankets her mind, impenetrable and obfuscating her memories.
After scouring the land, she arrives at the horrifying conclusion that she’s been transported back in time to the Warring States era. Incredibly out of her depth, she has to navigate the old nation’s dangerous climate without becoming ensconced within their politics – a feat easier said than done, for a clan-less kunoichi.
It's just her luck that the Uchiha start sprouting from the woodwork. It seems she can't escape them, no matter what century she's in.
