Summary
The Senju were a warrior clan, but with every war that scarred the village, the proud clan had been whittled away, leaving only one: Tsunade herself.
She hadn’t been able to bring herself to consider children—not for love, not even for duty, ever since Dan’s death. The Senju name, its lands and wealth, would vanish with her, to be absorbed into the village and used as it pleases.
So it’s of great surprise when she discovers someone else in the village with her grandfathers abilities but without ties back to the Senju family tree—the village hiding him away like a dirty little secret. One of their own making.
The realization ignites Tsunade’s resolve. It wasn’t enough for the village to coerce her back to Konoha, dragging her into the role of Hokage against her will. Now, they dared to tamper with her clan’s legacy, acting without her knowledge or consent.
But if the Senju name would endure, it would endure on her terms. Armed with the authority of the Hokage and the unyielding will of her lineage, Tsunade resolves to reclaim what is hers. If dismantling Danzo’s schemes and claiming an heir to carry on the Senju name are part of that, so much the better. The village owed her that much—and far more.

It was so dark when Bucky handed him the note, the fire just burning out, and he glanced back only once to see Steve watching him as he walked away.
