    How did I go from whatever my life was before this to existing as a growlithe in the wrong universe? Oh well, guess I’ll just have to make the best of it. No point in missing what I can’t remember. But what I do remember is important, life-changing even.

    Ace gave me a new name to go along with my new life, and this is my story. Or, I guess, our story. Because, like any good growlithe, I’ll stay loyally by my partner’s side for life. Now, I’ve just got to make sure that life is a long one, starting with making sure Ace survives long enough to even sail off Dawn Island.

    Fire Dog and Fire Fist is back! What more is there to say? I love both the original and the rewrite. I recommend everyone to give the story a chance, I‘m sure you‘ll fall in love with it, just like I did.

    This fic shows a really nice relationship between David Rossi and Tony Dinozzo. I had a hard time envisioning how they could fit together before the fic, but gave it a chance anyway. During reading it became really clear both how, and how well they fit. I also like both how Tonys situation at NCIS was handled, and the dynamic of the BAU. I liked all character portrayals. The fic is well written and I‘m glad I gave it a chance.

    A really nice story featuring Spencer&Harry friendship. The letters work really well to share their life with each other (and the reader) and are telling a compelling story. Both are well characterized and you can see how they grow as people. All characters are distinct with both strengths and flaws, presented as if they were living people. Little details in the worldbuilding have been considered, which gives the impression of the world being real.

    Summary

    The New World. The most dangerous ocean in the world, and perhaps, a bit more so for us than it usually is for newcomers.

    Sengoku knows the truth and wants Ace's head, while an emperor of the sea wants me for their rare animal collection. Between the two of us, we're constantly being hunted as we sail across the ocean by pirates, marines, and bounty hunters alike. Ace and I may be ready for the New World and the danger it brings, but our little crew may be another story.

    We'll have to get stronger to protect them. A large part of me is still counting on us eventually joining Whitebeard's crew, taking refuge under the protection his name offers, and giving Ace a place I hope he can call home. I’m just hoping I haven’t done something to mess that up.

    First things first though, we've got to hunt down Shanks and thank him for saving Luffy's life all those years ago.

    A heartwarming story about the journey of Ace and his Dog Captain. The entire series is really well written, with both touching and hilarious moments. Both the world and the characters get explored and the author really brings them to life.
