Summary
Time hated it when perfect days and actions turned into hell. These kinds of turns made him hate Hero’s work. It even made him doubt if their actions even had any real effect in anything at all. It left him feeling like a failure.
Deep inside the Chain’s leader knew it wasn’t like that. It was just bad luck. It was just the fact that they were doing perfect job if the bad guys pulled this kind of ruses against them. And yet, in the condition he was at the moment, he couldn’t see the silver lining for the black cloud around him.
The one eyed male knew he had mild phobia of darkness. It wasn’t a surprise after all he had gone through. Not to mention that those darkness’ he had gone through had always been lighted by a fairy’s glow. Yet, ever since his third quest, he hadn’t had such light for the nights. He didn’t want to admit it but that was one of the reasons he had trouble to sleep at some nights. All he had wanted was a walk in the crisp winter air…

Time opened his eye to a world on fire. The bittersweet smell of smoke forced its way into his lungs, and he coughed. Above him, where the roof used to be, was the moon, just as terrible and big as it had been in Termina. It filled Time’s vision.
“Oh, thank Hylia you’re awake.”
Time reluctantly peeled his eye from the giant red one in the sky and looked at the person in front of him. Warriors. His blond hair swayed gently in the breeze. The plate armor reflected the red light. His blue scarf was slightly torn by the hem. In his hand was a sword, ready to defend them both if needed. Time thought Warriors looked more like the typical storybook hero than Time ever had.Ten different versions of how the Chain met. The first nine chapters will feature a story in which eight of the Links meet their last member. The last one will feature a story about how all of them meet at once. Title may be subject to change.

The thought of Twilight makes him feel brittle, like dry dirt crackling up as young plants burst out from the crust, full of vigor and life. It doesn’t feel right, because there are only withering plants around him, falling apart on soil that can’t provide them what they need.
In the midst of all that, he has to stand tall and proud, someone with greatness to lead the way. But in truth, he is terribly worn out, and for older men like him, whose legacies are already engraved into thousands of futures ahead of him, he should be settled down whilst the young forge ahead with their passions and a bright future.

Summary
When Twilight encounters a mysterious child deep in the woods, he writes it off as just another oddity of this cross-era quest. After all, one of his companions is a man he first met as a ghost. Weirder things have happened.
But then Twilight and the other heroes find themselves in a strange place called Termina, and the anomalies keep adding up. Why doesn't the kid recognize Warriors? Why has no one in Termina heard of Hyrule? And why is Time, their leader, suddenly shying away from everyone when they need his guidance more than ever?
Or: The gang meets Mask. Time is also there.
