A phenomenon in psychology wherein an individual manipulates a third party into an existing conflict, intensifying tension and maintaining control by deflecting responsibility.After their tumultuous falling out, Ford drowns himself in industrial-strength coffee and spirals toward sleep-deprivation induced psychosis in a desperate attempt to escape his mistakes. Meanwhile, Bill’s inability to accept Ford’s rejection is wreaking havoc on his other responsibilities. As their behaviour becomes increasingly unhinged, a third party is unwittingly drawn into their dynamic, forcing all three of them to face their demons.

Summary
Bill Cipher, against all odds and without his own knowledge, has fallen in love. Unfortunately for Stanford Pines, Bill has no idea how to love something that isn’t himself. When Ford tries to sever their relationship, Bill decides he needs to get creative in order to prevent Ford from leaving him. He would ensure nothing, not even Ford's own stubborn attempts, could ever tear them apart.
Bill edits Ford's memories and blames it on McGucket. Set just before Ford can send the postcard.

Summary
Bill Cipher has been dealing with humans for a long time. They were all the same, whiny little flesh bags with too much pride and way too many problems. In the thousands of years he’d been communicating with the little worms he’d had a total of 0 successes. It almost made him want to give up on the inferior creatures all together.
But things have been different this time around. Stanford Pines is not only the perfect pawn for his plan, but surprisingly tolerable company too.
Even more surprisingly is the fact that lately Bill has been feeling things for the human, romantic things, and if he’s crazy enough he might just act on them...
