Summary
A thousand years ago the Jedi Order made a choice. They were in the midst of a collapse, buffeted by forces on every side and afraid they were seeing the end of their Order. Most of the Galaxy saw soulmarks as little more than an interesting phenomenon. Debate raged between cultures, peoples, and planets, over how to interpret them. To the Jedi the choice was simple in the midst of much greater choices they were being forced to make. Take away any Jedi's soulmark. Remove one obstacle and point of contention. To the majority of the Galaxy it didn't matter, they ignored theirs regardless.
But to Mandalorians the call of soul to soul is one of the most sacred bonds. Only one with a soulmark could be called as the Mand'alor and their other half as the Be'alor. Any who swore the oaths of a Mandalorian would know who these beings were. It was a call of soul to soul.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was born with a soulmark. Taken away from him as an infant, he never felt the loss until fate intervened on the planet of Mandalore.

Summary
It was supposed to be an easy retrieval. He would go in, grab the relic in the middle of the room, and leave.
Why did his jobs never go that easy? Now Jango's trapped in a pitch-black cave with a Jedi. Then there's the creepy ghost who wants them dead.
Worst of all is that he now needs the Jedi in order to get out of the cave and defeat the creepy ghost.
How is this his life? At least the Jedi starts to prove somewhat useful. Maybe Jango will keep this one around for a while. It can't hurt to have someone who can do magic on his side.

The Hale pack is still fractured because of Scott’s betrayal and Derek’s refusal to give his pack the nurturing it needs. Peter knows what needs to be done but Derek refuses to do it. The alpha needs to claim the spark. Bonded, they would be able to pull the pack together and lay claim to the nemeton for the protection of the land. Time is running out so Peter makes a decision to find a way of his own. He will not let the Hale lands fall. He will claim the boy himself and build a new Hale legacy that will not break.

Summary
Peter didn’t mean to become the alpha, Derek had never meant to come back to Beacon Hills, and Stiles hadn’t meant to become a werewolf. Just because you don’t mean for something to happen doesn’t mean it’s not something good. Sometimes the things we think are the worst possible scenario end up being the best things to happen to us. Maybe, just maybe, these things were actually meant to be.
Book 1: How It's Mean to Be: A season 1 AU starting from episode 9, ‘Wolf’s Bane’ where Peter bites Stiles that night in the hospital. This starts a chain reaction of events that leads to everything playing out very differently than canon. Peter learns how to be a better alpha, Derek learns how to let people back into his life and Stiles finds out what pack can really mean.

“You are an odd duck Beauregard.”
“No shit,” she takes another drink.
“You talk about how strange and mysterious I am,” Caleb continues, “But you are worse than any of us I think.”
“The fuck do you mean man?” She glares at him. She’s too buzzed to be patient enough for him to get to his point.
“Lionett.”
She freezes.

Summary
Our timetable has shifted. I will notify you when we are to proceed.
Essek paused his pacing, feet clumsily connecting with the floor. Even through the anxious, angry rush of blood in his ears, the words of Ludinus Da'leth rang clear in his mind.
The Archmage of Civil Influence: Deposed. The Martinet: Missing in action. Shadowhand Essek Thelyss stands at a precipice, poised to lose everything he has desired for the last century, and prepared to give up anything to prevent this golden opportunity from slipping his grasp.
(or, what if Essek didn’t steal the beacon before the Nein finished their adventures?)
