'Skin Deep' prologue, AU.
Rumplestiltskin's heart beats with a singular purpose – to reunite with his lost son. But his heart only has so many beats left before it fully gives into the Darkness. An enchanted locket known as The Heart's Caretaker may be his only chance to save what little light still burns within him. He just needs it to reveal to him the one person in the realm destined to banish his shadows and bring love back into his world.

Summary
Once upon a time, there was a peasant woman who was cursed because her heart was too big for the world she lived in, and she became a Beast. All while the woman was becoming a beast, a man was escaping with the woman he thought was the love of his life.
In fifteen years, they would meet because a seer told him that the only way to get his son back was to find The Beauty who was a Beast, and wait for over two centuries by her side.

Summary
The sorceress La Belle Dame Sans Merci, (or Belle for short), is a collector of magical items. Tipped off by the man in the red woolen hat, she visits a Frontlands village slave market to locate a rare glamor spell. Upon discovering that a sickly slave possesses a magical ability she has never encountered before, Belle takes him back with her to the Dark Castle to study him better. As Rumplestilskin recovers from his ordeal, Belle installs him as caretaker of her large estate, convincing herself it is only to observe him more closely. While Belle and Rumple grow ever closer together, the fairies of the Enchanted Forest conspire to rid themselves of the denizens of the Dark Castle for good.

Summary
Begun by the following prompt by repeatinglitanies: The curse did not place Belle in the asylum. She’s living with Mr Gold as his wife. Unfortunately, a wife who’s been catatonic for 28 years. So the first time Emma goes to the back of Gold’s shop, she is taken aback by the sight of a woman in a rocking chair, staring at nothing while Gold reads to her.
The order of the stories will change as new prompts fit in to the verse.
