Summary
Chef Kim Seokjin has many walls when it comes to love, he sucks at dealing with it, and that’s why he takes all the necessary measurements to keep Min Yoongi as nothing but a few fucks a week.
He is such a fool.
The thing is that maybe he is not the only one in the race for Yoongi’s heart, and maybe Seokjin is taking too long to make up his mind, and maybe is too late when he finds a name to his feelings.

Seokjin stares at him with wide eyes, resisting the tempting desire to slap his face right there “Never, ever, ever, call me baby again, don’t you dare” He whispers back, a tear falls down his cheek and he removes it quickly, inhaling deeply before steeping inside the apartment.

And just like a volcano erupting in its most catastrophic form, tears well up in Yoongi’s eyes, and the mixture of pleasure and pain turns into pure anguish. His body feels foreign, and Seokjin no longer feels like Seokjin. Because the Seokjin Yoongi fell for doesn’t exist. This version of Seokjin—one who genuinely wants and needs him—doesn’t exist. Yoongi is not that person for him, and the realization hits like molten lava, destroying everything in its path. Yoongi can’t stop the word before it bursts out of his throat like an alarm.
“Red,” he says, trembling, his voice shaking just as much. “R-Red.”

Summary
The thing is—
it wasn’t even some epiphany that just hit Seokjin one day. It’s incredible, he thinks, how simply being around someone constantly can show so much of who they are, even when you’re not directly interacting with them. And considering the nature of their jobs, Seokjin already interacts with Yoongi a lot.
Why, then, Seokjin entertains the idea, isn’t he in love with the other five members of the group?
(or: Seokjin realizes he’s in love with Yoongi, and realizes some other things along the way, too.)

In retrospect, Seokjin supposes, he should’ve seen it coming.
Yoongi approaches him in the living room on a nondescript Tuesday, while Seokjin is laying on the couch and mindlessly scrolling through his phone.
“Hyung,” Yoongi says in a very specific tone, which marks the exact moment Seokjin knows he’s absolutely fucked.

Seokjin purses his lips and turns away to the stove, and Taehyung wishes he hadn’t seen the hurt flash in Yoongi’s eyes before he heads up to his room, saying he’ll meet them at the studio directly later on.

Summary
The truth was, Yoongi didn’t want Seokjin like a welking flower wanted the summer storm. He wanted Seokjin like a starving dog wanted to gnaw of its leash. There was no beauty in it.

Bookmarker's Notes
Yoongi hadn’t called Seokjin ‘Hyung’ in over three years. Not since the transformation. There was no use of honorifics anymore. In a world where vampires owned people like animals, words of respect didn’t find their place between and owner and their slave.
