Summary
All four men seem lovely, very outgoing, and Phil feels a little overwhelmed and out of place. He knows, realistically, that this is his gig and yet he feels like he’s somehow letting them down.
Phil shakes everyone’s hands – Reece, a confident, charming man with an impressive moustache, Miles, who seems a little shy but friendly, and way, way too muscular for Phil, his handshake so tight, he gets a little scared for his poor weak hand. Elias, constantly talking, making all of them laugh. And a fourth guy, Dan, all curls and sharp edges, who looks at him a little intensely.
Phil does a video speed dating some gay guys - And falls into it hard and fast.

A night at 1132 Rue Royale, two weeks before Mardi Gras. Louis is well versed in wearing masks. He has been wearing them all his life, changing one for the other to fit the circumstances. But as the deadline approaches and his emotions become raw, Louis' masks are starting to crack, leaving his heart undefended.

Whatever carefully blank expression Lestat is trying on disappears like a slap. “Armand made a fledgling. Why would he do that?” Lestat asks.
“Oh, you know,” Louis says, watching the three dots of a new text pop up. “He knew Daniel was… important to me.”
He means to say it with rueful annoyance, as if to say, “so he ruined him.” But as Daniel’s text comes in—the most important question I should have asked you in that fucking interview: where do you buy coke in Dubai?—Louis’s voice trails off, his words maybe lacking some of the bite.

Lestat misunderstands what Daniel is to Louis and tries to be a champ about it. Meanwhile Louis rediscovers his drug of choice—Lestat.

Phil wakes up in an alternate reality where Dan and he have never met and does the only thing he can think of doing: Finding Dan.
