“I... may have met my soulmates,” Jungkook hedged, looking anywhere but at his best friend.
“And?” Jihoon pressed, not taking his eyes off the dish in front of him.
“And they’re really nice?” Jungkook replied, feeling the heat extend further down his neck at the weak admission.
Jihoon glanced over at him and shot him an unimpressed look. “I was under the impression we didn’t like your soulmates,” he deadpanned, glancing down at the cheerful writing on Jungkook’s hand again.
Jungkook sighed and leaned fully against the counter, “Me too.”
OR
Jungkook thinks his soulmates don't want him. His soulmates wholeheartedly disagree with that assumption.

“After all this time," the alpha said low and strained, "you let me believe you were someone that I could not choose.”
or: years after jimin had been torn from the love of his life, fate brought them back together in a way that felt more like a cruel joke than a blessing. jeongguk was far more than the boy jimin remembered, and jimin carried a truth far heavier than jeongguk could have imagined. jeongguk was the heir to the very throne jimin had sworn to protect… and jimin, well, he was not the beta everyone believed him to be.

they weren’t dating. definitely not bonded. just two idiots who kept ending up in bed together.
jimin and jeongguk had an arrangement: to share ruts and heats, keep things simple, don’t fall in love. it worked for a while. until one night jimin begs for jeongguk's knot like he needs it to breathe… and [unexpectedly] ends up pregnant.
they decide to live together. for the pup, obviously. maybe a little for themselves too.
but nothing really changes. jimin still sleeps in jeongguk’s bed, wears his hoodies, melts when he’s touched. jeongguk still scents jimin’s pillow, gets possessive when others look at his belly for too long, and acts like jimin already belongs to him.
they’re not together. they still see other people.
and then jeongguk comes home smelling like an omega (spoiler alert: it's not jimin).
turns out pretending not to care only works until it really, really doesn’t.
