Summary
Inspired by one of Lighthouse's "how they met" lists, I decided to go with this one, tweaked a little: "Alex and Morgan meet at a bar." Alex is scaring everyone away from their table with their presence alone, and Morgan just sat down across from them in the only empty chair left in the building. Heroes are mocked, and an unlikely friendship is born!
** This is going to be part one of... I think a 3? Part series? About the development of Alex and their relationships over time. Now with a chapter estimation instead of question marks!**

Legends tell of a great wyrm that lives in the side of a volcano, far from any other living thing. This beast has burned hundreds of villages, sunk thousands of ships, and its hoard contains more wealth than all the great kings combined. But one night, a lone figure creeps into the lair, searching for a single artifact. The lost crown of a mythic king, said to have been the bravest and greatest of all Norsemen. A Viking without parallel, revered almost as a god.
But the dragon's lair might not be quite as empty as it seems, and there's more to this painfully average thief than meets the eye.

A short one shot for my favorite Villain Sitcom, for its one year anniversary. The theme was 'Vikings', and I got inspired by the dragon hoard jokes that Alex and Morgan made right before the Hostage Negotiation video. Enjoy!

Sirius’s throat tightened. He didn’t trust his voice, so he just nodded, the movement barely more than a dip of his head. Remus blinked blearily up at him, his dark eyes catching just a sliver of light.
He didn’t ask why.
He never did.
Instead, without another word, he shifted. Scooted back. Pulled the blanket away on one side, making space the way he always did when Sirius needed it, needed him.

But Remus’s birthday?
That’s sacred.
Remus’s birthday means cheap beer, terrible pub quizzes, and sitting on the kitchen floor at 3AM talking about bad tattoos and what it means to still be alive. Remus’s birthday means mismatched fairy lights sporadically strung through the flat, a playlist Sirius updates all year, and a cake he claims is homemade but definitely isn’t.
It means the two of them, side by side, at the heart of it all.
It does not mean Benjy fucking Fenwick

This is the story I think about before I go to sleep at night, so why not write it eyh. Basically, this is Remus turning 30 and thinking he should have his shit together hence dating Benjy the beige. Sirius, obviously, has had a revelation, about 6 months too late, that he's deeply in love with Remus. Whatever will he do....(lol spiral)
