Once again, their father was praised for pulling some sort of miracles when he lived in Resembool. Edward scowled to himself, of course, if their jerk of a father hadn’t left, then maybe they wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place. Maybe he would have performed whatever the “miracle” everyone speaks of for his family. Then she wouldn’t die, she would be safe and they would be happy again. Just like it was before…when their Mother's smile was never forced. If Edward could just find him…he looked over to Alphonse who met his gaze and gave him a concerned look.

Ed is with the chimeras, went missing and declared dead at like age 6, al tried HT to bring him back, lost all 4 limbs instead, he became fullmetal and is trying to get his body back, ed is the one with the body dismorphia cuz of the whole tiger shit, he spent a few years with the other chimeras kicking around in Xing where he met Ling and they were exchanging some letters while there but agreed being so far away from Father was dying and they had to return. Ed saved Al from Scar but he was partially transformed and had his hair dyed so Al didn’t recognize him, said some harsh shit, then Ed ran off only to be confronted by Envy transformed as Al and Envy used a trigger word instilled in the tiger he bonded to and he went on a rampage and killed “Al”. He’s been missing and team agreed found Al and told him Ed’s alive to see if he had any info -

Summary
Hohenheim comes back and Ed tries the transmutation on his own. Unable to forgive himself, Ed strikes out on his own and Hohenheim raises Al. Time shifts a bit differently and adopted by Maes Hughes, Edward Elric is going to define a new path for Amestris. Ed-Centric.
KEYnotes: Maes does not die. Nor key the others. Alfonse loses nothing, so Ed pays with both leg and arm. Homunculi are made by the Dwarf in the Flask, not failed transmutation.
Major AU: The timeline is different. The Dwarf in the Flask's plan is delayed. Alfonse and Hohenheim are in this, just toward the end of the second half of the story.

I’m so fucking invested omg timeline is right after zoom and Henry Allen dying, and Len just blew up with the oculus, he thought of people in his last moments including Casandra savage who had a similar childhood to him and said that if he was ever around during when she was a kid he should stop by and maybe like adopt her. Well she was the last person she thought of and time magic brought him to that time. He saved 11 year old Cassie and they pickpocketed Vandal Savage and stole his time ship and went back to 2016 where they picked up Barry who was literally just about to decide to do flashpoint without knowing what he might’ve caused and they’re staying in the timeless zone place for a few months until Lens team kills Savage because as long as Cassie is there when he’s killed she won’t be erased from time. Barry and Len are so fucking domestic it’s sickening and I love them, they’re dancing in the kitchen to old movie music and they dramatically being fools during Cassie’s training and Len has taken up writing cuz he’s always kinda wanted to and he’s writing a fucking sapphic futuristic sci-fi criminal and detective love story but it’s literally just his and Barry’s dynamic but role reversal cuz the thief has Barry’s personality and the detective has his. And he has no idea he’s gone and done this. Barry has been reading it as like a beta reader and editor and he love the story and they sit on the couch together and use the others lap as a footstool and they’re ridiculous. Len has eyes and knows hes attracted to Barry but isn’t really dealing with that. Barry is a moron and hasn’t really picked up on it. The ships AI, grant, has been acting as their on board therapist and a convo between Barry and Len made Barry realize his love for iris wasn’t what he wanted for his future forever. And when he talks to grant he’s like ‘Lens right I want something fun and comfortable, a lot like what I have with Len’ and grant goes: so basically you want this specific dynamic for your future love and you happen to have this exact dynamic with Len and you’re raising his newly adopted daughter together where time doesn’t exist but its with someone else cuz you and Len and just super close friends, gotcha’ and even Cassie has noticed they’re in love with each other and talked to grant and they both agreed to let the idiots work it out. They worked it out!!! And they’re planning for their return to 2016 and they bought a house with Barry’s rich boy inheritance.
DID I MISS WHEN LEONARD PROPOSED??? CUZ THEYRE ENGAGED NOW. but anyways 6 months out of time and Barry’s gone back to 2016 to set up their life and to figure out what’s happening with the legends.

I’m in fucking tears holy shit I’m never gonna fucking recover from this truly. 270k+ words of phenomenal writing, complex characters with such dynamic and layered emotions, characterization which is both believable and doesn’t erase their canon characters but adds to them. 40% of the world Soulmate AU that was masterfully merged with an enemies to complex feeling lovers to lovers. A broken soulmate bond that they had to break to survive but they love each other anyways holy shit I’m gonna sob and puke it was fucking life altering
