Summary
Grian thinks it's a game because the 'game' won't let him see the truth, The Book of Demise won't let him think for himself once it has him. Grian is blind to the pain, the death he's brought to his friends until it is far too late. Few hermits resisted the book's enchanted call but that doesn't make them any safer in the grand scheme of things as this book craves souls and it will create as many thralls as it needs to get them. Lovers are torn apart and safety is thrown to the wind with wild abandon as the ancient evil book worms it's way into the minds of all who dared sign it, granting eternal unlife at the price of their sanity.
