Summary
Anaxa scowls. “Are you trying to miss the point deliberately, or are you just arguing for no reason?”
Mydei throws his hands up. “Well, perhaps I’m just stupid!”
“Congratulations on the riveting epiphany,” Phainon says, grimacing at the soreness of his ass, “Can someone please untie me now?”

Summary
After passing out in his office one too many times, Anaxagoras is forced into a sabbatical by his mentor, Cerces (for his own good). He only lasts for a week until he's itching to get back to work, only to find out that Cerces has gone on a sabbatical of her own. However, a letter soon arrives from Cerces with the promise of a favor.
There’s a farm she forgot she had that she wishes for him to take check in on. There, meets the local "Deliverer". At first, he's apprehensive about the help. But soon enough, Phainon becomes a staple on his farm and it's not long before seeds are planted and a love begins to bloom on the farm.
---
And yet, it is Phainon who comes to mind. The way his eyes would grow big and shine brightly at hearing the news, the way his grin would grow as he lifted Anaxagoras off the ground to spin him around, mindful of the crops growing beneath his feet.

Summary
Anaxa's chest swells with the familiar tug of Cerces’s soul, and she materializes next to him. Her voice is low. “Nikador.”
Anaxa sets his jaw and stays silent.
“You are not who I expected to see here,” Nikador says. “Call me Gnaeus.”
Cerces pats the top of Anaxa’s head. “This is Anaxagoras.”
“I left you alone for a second,” says Mydei, appearing behind the three of them.Anaxa and Mydei revisit the Castrum Kremnos of the past.
Mydei and Cerces pause in their conversation and swivel to him.
“You’re both talking about me,” Anaxa says, perplexed. “Behind my back.”
“No, we’re not,” Mydei says, stone-faced. He always has the same hardened expression on his face, his brows knitted sharply together. Anaxa may not be able to tell if he was lying, if only for Cerces’ poorly stifled laughter.
“I’m not easily duped,” Anaxa says. A pause, “I’m not Phainon.”Series
