The world was overwhelming. Everything was too much. Why wouldn’t everything just slow down for a minute so she could catch up?
Essentially an angsty Marinette fic, this is what I think would be a more realistic depiction of how the bullying and mistrust from her friends might have affected her.

Willow looked up. There was surprise, yes, but also a kind of deep weariness.
"Why do you ask that?"
Michelle shrugged, uncomfortable. "I don't know…" she murmured. "It's just… the length suited you. I didn't think…" She stopped, frustrated at not finding the words she wanted. "I don't understand why you would do it."
It didn't sound like a complaint. It sounded like she was hurt that Willow had done it.
Willow looked away. "There was no point in leaving it like that," she replied. "There was no one to style it anymore. It didn't… matter anymore."Or
Will cuts her hair in a rampage after the rain fight to try and forget Michelle, doesn't quite work.

Summary
Will cracks out his wrists and tries to remember how it felt to struggle, that miserable kind of pain that comes with adrenaline; the kind that sticks around when he gets up in the morning and late at night when he sleeps. It’s not hard to recall it. It boils in his throat until he screams, rainwater sliding down his face and dripping from his hair.
He takes a bat to the fort in a fit of violence. He’s never been the kind to hit or kick, knowing he was better off hiding, waiting it out. That works for things like other people. It doesn’t work for monsters or memories. He claws at the branches with his bare fists, rips the signs off and scrapes his knuckles on the nails.
Will destroys Castle Byers. It doesn’t take him very long. When he’s done, his hands come away sticky.

Her foot crunched against a broken board and she stared at it, until Will glanced too and once he did, his heart clenched.
All friends welcome."Just a scene of the destruction of Castle Byers that I think should have happened if the Duffer Brothers hadn't been cowards and given us the Max/El/Will friendship that we so rightfully deserved. Let's be honest, those three deserve a friendship and I NEED IT.
