Time didnt exist, there was no yesterday, no now, no future. It was dark, it was cold, it was always so cold. It hurt so much.
But this was the one chance a boy who survived the cold dark world, to escape into the red rift, he knew it would take him away, he didnt know where but if it was out of this hell he didnt care. He just couldnt be here anymore. He needed that one chance to be freed.But somehow home didnt feel like home. He didnt know what it was suppose to feel like. It just wasnt home, he was still cold, he was still alone.

Chance sprang from the bench, racing onto the court. His heartbeat thudded in his chest, echoing the rhythm of a basketball against the hardwood floor. He stole a last glance up at the boy, admiring his beauty, and nearly fell flat on his face. His stumble was as awkward as his racing thoughts. He stopped himself with his hands, the impact jolting his senses back to the game. Picking himself up off the floor, face flushed with embarrassment, he silently cursed the angel in the stands, wiped his sweaty palms on his shorts and got into position.
Or; Chance notices Will in the bleachers at a basketball game and loses his mind over his beauty. Will is confused, maybe scared, and looking for an escape.

At some point Will realised his hand was still over Chance’s. Maybe it was the liquor sitting heavy in his system, or maybe it was just sheer dumb courage, but he felt himself gently shift his hand to the side, moving until it sat flush beside Chance’s.
