The sting of betrayal sent ice through his veins as he ogled his husband as he pulled a tight LAFD t-shirt over his head.
Or: Eddie's first day at the 118 doesn't exactly go according to plan, seeing as he didn't tell a very important someone which station he was starting at.

Now, what was that about?
Or, Iceman really, really dislikes Maverick. In fact, he would go so far as to say he despises the kid. What Goose could possibly see in the kid is beyond Ice. So why is he so damn intrigued about the kid's reaction to his own name?

There had been no mistaking it, either. Arthur had seen Merlin’s eyes glow golden just before his mace had caught, giving Merlin the perfect opportunity to escape whilst simultaneously making Arthur look a fool. Was it possible Merlin thought he was discreet? Surely not, but then, Arthur supposed, he was an idiot. Only an idiot would have stood up to the prince of Camelot twice in a row, after all. He must have had a death wish—that had to be it, right? Was he suicidal?
Nobody could be that dumb.
Arthur knows about Merlin's magic and finds himself protecting the idiots secret and, perhaps, just falling a little head over heels as he does so

Evan nodded, crawling into Daniel’s lap without hesitation. He curled up against Daniel’s chest, his small hands clutching at his brother’s sweater.
“Sing, Bubba,” Evan murmured sleepily, voice already thick with drowsiness.
Daniel swallowed past a building ache in his throat, smoothing a warm hand over Evan’s back. “Yeah, you want your song?”
Evan mumbled and nodded into Daniel’s chest, as he closed his eyes and settled.
“Okay, little bear. I got you.”
Buck hears a song from a forgotten past that sends him reeling, leading him to a new discovery about the loss he has faced.

“Buck!” Eddie was already moving.
Oxygen tank forgotten at Bobby’s feet, turnout coat already halfway off because he needed the range of motion to check on Buck. The world tunneled—sirens, voices, the puff of dust off every bootfall—down to one point: Buck’s face up close, eyes too bright, lashes caked with grit. “Hey. Hey, look at me.”
Buck tried.
He blinked slow, mouth parted, a smear of soot curving up his cheekbone. His lips were almost colorless under the dust.
“Eddie,” he managed, voice frayed into a rasp. “M’good.”
“Yeah? Prove it.”
Eddie’s palm found the back of Buck’s turnout, guided him sideways to the tailboard of the engine. “Sit down.”_____________
Buck's caught right in the middle of a structural collapse and when he stumbles out, well, Eddie has to make sure he's actually okay.

There’s not much he can say without outing himself, so he stops short. Inhales. Exhales. Inhales. Exhales.
“Look,” Eddie says, firm, “Chris is my son. And I get to decide where we live.”
“Oh, Eddie,” Helena says, voice full of pity. “Please don’t force our hand.”
“Force your hand?”
“To fight for his custody.”
“What?” Eddie asks with quiet disbelief. His brain is in the process freezing completely, his veins ice cold.
He knows his parents don’t like him. He’s known that his whole fucking life. But this? This is too much. And worse, it’ll hurt Chris. Turn him into the same mess Eddie is.
“He needs stability and security. Something he clearly didn’t have until very recently. We’d been thinking about it ever since you got shot. Then he called us, and we’d fully decided but, you just let him go and we thought we wouldn’t need to. But now,”
Eddie’s breathing gets increasingly heavier until he collapses.
