Summary
He knew, reasonably, that his levels of pain and levels of exhaustion came and went in waves. He knew that it was more than likely that his energy would return sometime soon, and Scar would stop feeling as horrible as he did presently. He’d stop being so much of a burden, at least for a little while.
But he also knew that, someday, it wasn’t going to go away. Someday, it would get bad, and it wouldn’t get better again. It wouldn’t come with a warning. For all he knew, that someday was now. Even as it was, his best days from the past year were about the same level as some of his worst days from fifteen years ago.
What was he but a sinking ship— occasionally drifting back toward the surface but knowing that he would never again breach it. With each passing hour, day, week, month, and year, he was coming closer to where he would inevitably run out of oxygen on the sandy ocean floor.
But Cub’s hands were still in his hair, and that helped.

Ren whined, already laying down and waiting for Doc to flop down, creating a Ren sandwich with the bed. “But dude! I’m not that bad, it’s cuddle time, you can’t bail out on me now! That’s not cool.”

Summary
Bdubs knows he's a little different to most people. It's always been that way. Some would say he's dramatic, others say he's just very outward with his emotions, but either way he's different. Ever since he was little he's expressed himself differently to others, his emotions worn not only on his sleeve but bursting out of him in ways he can't control. He's used to it, he likes it really, because holding it all inside feels like too much is going on in his head and body, so letting it out is much easier to allow.
