“Mike? Are you alright?”
A wet, choked-sounding laugh. “No, Uncle Henry, I don’t—” The word delves into a series of hacking coughs, and he weakly finishes, “—think so.”
“Where are you?”
“My house.” There is a muffled shuffling sound, punctuated by uneven breaths. “Can you—can you come pick me up? I don’t know… there’s something wrong with me.”
After having all of his organs scooped out by a killer animatronic possessed by his dead sister, Michael does the only thing he can think to do.
He calls his Uncle Henry.

Loid’s eyes trace over the face of the woman pinning him to the ground three times, his usually nimble mind moving with unforgivable lethargy as he tries to piece together the incongruous picture presented to him.
Because that face is one he knows well.
The danger of the weapon poking into his neck with violent promise is forgotten as he blinks up at the form of his wife, seeing similar bewilderment—and the hint of something darker, something like betrayal—reflected in her gaze.

Dean nods, a strange expression pulling at his face. “Oookay. Don’t let Mr. Wright hear you say that, though—wouldn’t wanna make the guy think his class isn’t completely mind-numbing.”
Caatiel stares at the boy for a second, whose lips are tugging upwards in the corners, and then something peculiar happens. It starts deep in his chest, a bubbling, warm sensation like the cheerful babbling of a brook, making its way up his throat until it eventually escapes his mouth in a harsh sound.
His eyes widen and he covers his mouth, alarmed by his tenuous control over these new human instincts. “What is this—this warm sensation flowing out of me? Like a cough, but… strangely pleasant.”
A similar sound leaves Dean's mouth. “You mean laughter?”
“What does it signify?” The sound escapes again, strangled by his quickening breaths, and Castiel sends the boy a look of distress. “Is it fatal?”
After a fledgling Castiel is cast from heaven by Raphael, he must find a purpose on Earth as little more than a human. He is dragged to something known as 'high school' and meets a strange human named Dean, and dares to hope that this purpose might lie within his green eyes.

“El?” Mike whispers, breathless and choked, so soft that the word is swallowed by the roaring of the waterfall. It must be loud enough, though, because her head shifts.
She turns to face him fully, and it’s as if Michael Wheeler is seeing in colour for the first time in years.
He can’t be entirely sure what happens next; sometime after his heart stops at the sight of her, he is colliding with her in a tangle of limbs, without even realising he started running.
She smells just like he remembers, like blueberries and Eggo waffles, but with an added curl of bitter woodsmoke; she fits in his arms like she was designed to be there, and he tightens his grip further, as if they can become one just by embracing hard enough. “El,” he chokes out, a half-laugh, half-sob. Her head is buried in his neck, tucked under his chin, hair tickling his bare skin.
El and Mike reunite a few years after the events of Season 5.

Summary
The slider managed to open his eyes halfway to look down on his left hand to try and find out what it was stuck to, but the darkness all around combined with the concussion-induced blurry, doubled vision did little to help him understand anything he was looking at.
Then there was a voice.
Not the comforting voice of one of his concerned brothers, but rather a gruff, deep man's voice coming from the stranger tending to his laceration.
"Sorry 'bout the cuffs but I ain't never seen your kind before."

On the day of the invasion Leo's brothers try to save him from the prison dimension but a disruption caused by Krang Prime causes Mikey's portal to mystically explode, knocking Leo unconscious.
The next thing he knows he wakes up injured with a concussion in a dark room with a stranger tending to his wounds.
But he is soon to find out that this scruffy human does not have his best interests at heart.
If he can't escape on his own will his family come to the rescue, or do they even know where he is?
No matter what happens Leo knows that he always has a ninja's greatest weapon: Hope.

Donnie eventually drifted into a light sleep, keeping his headphones on, but there was still a feeling of unease in his gut that wouldn’t let up. No matter how he distracted his mind with music or tried to focus on the comforting weight of the blanket over him, he just couldn’t shake the growing dread that he felt.
Where the hell did Leo go, and why couldn’t Donnie track him?

Adrien smiles as he eats breakfast with Nathalie, smiles as he walks through the halls of his new lycée, smiles as people stop him on the street and tell him time and time again what a "hero" his father was.
(Adrien wishes he could've been a hero, too. He should've been. Maybe then his father would still be alive.)
(But he's surviving. Everyone may be treating him as though he were made of glass, but he can still go through the motions, he can prove them wrong, he can still smile.)
“And you’re… happy,” Marinette spoke carefully, a nervous tilt to her voice, “... right?”
