Jaskier wakes up tied to a chair, injured and no memory of what had happened. Rescue comes in the form of a strange mage who gives him refuge as he heals. Jaskier quickly finds himself falling under Rience's spell. The Witcher stepped over the guard’s body as though it were an errant log, his eyes focused entirely on Jaskier. The bard was staring at Geralt with an awed expression, blood dripping sluggishly from his nose and down until it dripped from his upper lip. Geralt stepped in close to Jaskier and took the bard’s face in his hands, angling it this way and that to examine the damage. After a quick assessment, Geralt grunted and ripped his bloodied gloves off, throwing them on the ground and cupping Jaskier’s face once again. The sorceress’s violet eyes harbored not an iota of humor. She crossed her arms under her ample bosom, and said, “You are pregnant.”

Her eyes narrowed. Under any other circumstances, he would have felt a mighty frisson of fear skittering down his spine. He was far too horrified of the words that rolled off her plump, red-painted lips next.
“You are pregnant with a baby.”

The witchers create a new empire on the Continent behind the banner of the White Wolf.
All is, kind of, good until someone recognize him as being Jaskier, the White Wolf’s bard from before the warlord rises and decides to bait Geralt into a peace treaty using him. The bard is absolutely sure it is not going to work because Geralt doesn’t care, the mind behind the plot is sure it is going to work and it does work. It works really - really - well. He smells him first; it’s easy to notice the difference, the tavern so far being comprised only of scentless Betas, with the exception of himself as the sole Omega. Then the door of the establishment opens and, alongside a hot gust of late-spring air, comes the indistinguishable musk that characterises most Alpha scents. This one is combined with fresh sweat, horse and a faint iron trace of blood.
There is something about him, something that calls to Jaskier. And it isn’t necessarily his scent, heady and delicious as it is, or even his striking features, his shock-white hair and amber eyes, though those are certainly not a deterrent. It’s something more, and Jaskier doesn’t know what exactly it is, but he’s going to do his very best to find out.
