Summary
The eldest son of Umavi Deirta Thelyss was a gregarious, brilliant boy, a rising star in Den Thelyss. Until he wasn't. The boy closed off, buried himself in his studies, roused from trance weeping. When his body was no longer a safe place to live, he built his own safety with nothing but Will and Weave. Alone, he was safe. Alone, no one could see his heresy, his wounds. *Vox Machina: Kith and Kin Spoilers*
It was deeply fucked. They were deeply fucked. Vax had never felt the kind of belonging he'd felt here, like there was a community of people who actually gave a damn about each other for the first time in his life. The Shademaster would march on them any day now and cut them down like so many mad dogs. And Thorn would not walk away, not while his people were in danger.
Vax kissed him harder, as if he could convey all of the things he could not say, the things Thorn would not let himself believe if Vax could say them. I know what it is not to belong. To put everything on the line for the people you love and know that, gods willing, you will not walk away. I cannot begrudge you that. But I wish it were not true.

Summary
It had started with the same kind of wounded complexity as each step in their intimacy together. Essek had returned from his wanderings to their little house in Rexxentrum. His nerves had been raw, and he had felt frantic and alone and drifting. In a moment of boldness, he'd asked Caleb to hurt him.
Caleb had, understandably, been aghast. Essek had taken a deep breath, had clutched his trembling hands together, had confessed that there had always been days when pain was the only thing that drew him out of his head, that centered him in his body. That he was not asking Caleb to harm him, but asking him to share in some deep part of Essek that was raw and intimate as it was taboo.

Caleb spoke for the first time since he had teleported them to Zemni Fields, his voice just loud enough to be heard above the din of the last of the year’s cicadas. “We are about a mile out. I needed a bit of time to get my thoughts in order.”Essek squeezed his lover’s hand. “I could listen. If you want?”
Caleb squeezed Essek’s hand in return and gave him a sad smile. “I have not been back. I could not. Not alone. And not while I still believed I could change what happened. What I did.”

Summary
“I should clarify,” said Essek, when Marion returned with the box. “We have experimented with intoxicants before, with initial success and subsequent failure. Recently, we have used enchantment, though Caleb hesitates to become reliant on it for ethical reasons, and I for practical ones.”
Marion raised a brow. “You don’t wish to condition yourself to come in your trousers every time he makes to cast?”

Summary
Looking down at his body, he sees the soft gleam of the sun-oil he had been convinced into applying even as he hides in the shade, after the first few times when his skin had grown sore and dry the next day. Sunlight bounces off bright surfaces, of course; it takes a lot to be fully untouched. Even safely in the shade, the heat finds him, seeps in through the porous skin, and warms him to the very gut.
Or; the fic where going to the beach makes Essek horny

Summary
Humming in interest, Caleb sucks, slowly. Oh, it’s nice. It’s very nice. The suction is replaced by the smooth edges of teeth, distinctly felt as they drag over the flesh. There is the slide of wet lips and then the clink of teeth on metal. Ever so lightly, Caleb tugs at the star pendant that dangles from the softest part of his lobe.
“Hahhh—” Essek gapes, staring up at the wooden ceiling as he feels gravity flip deep within his belly. He blinks and wets his lips before he can speak again. “Light above. What are you doing to me?
