Summary
The clouds above move slowly across the ever-blue sky. The cold wind blows a gentle breeze, shaking the debris on the ground. There is a pool of crimson on the ground next to the boy now and he realizes that he is dying. Yanqing groans and strains his body to lay on his back and face the sky. He can see the wings of the birds flapping as they fly by. He can especially hear their song, closes his eyes, and imagines it is a lullaby.
Or, Yanqing almost dies fighting Blade and Dan Heng, and realizes what it means to know death.

Summary
Yanqing fails to get to the alchemy commission after the fight with Blade and Dan Heng, and is taken there by Sushang, who was looking for the general and happened to stumble apon him.
When he is left alone in his hospital room, he couldn't help but think about his own worth. That and the fact the general never found it fit to tell him about his past.
