“Just say the word, little buddy, and all this could be yours too,” Tanaka said, gesturing broadly at himself.
“Wow, how did I get so lucky,” Hinata deadpanned.
“Hey, if you don’t want-”
“No, shut up!” Hinata yelped, grabbing Tanaka’s arm. “I want you to be my fake boyfriend too! Are you free this weekend?”

Summary
As he neared the building, Kei caught sight of those bright yellow flowers, but his heart sank when he didn’t spot any kicking feet or shining copper. Instead, an altogether different but immediately recognizable color grabbed his attention. A color entirely inappropriate for his balcony, as a matter of fact. A light, powder blue fluttering gently in the breeze–his favorite sweatshirt was draped over their railing.
Well, Shouyou had some explaining to do.

Summary
Hinata huffed a quiet little half-laugh through his nose. He promised Kenma he would scope the cafe out since he was almost there anyway, then tucked his phone back into his jeans. He stared down at the pavement for a few seconds and took in a slow, deep breath. He then tossed his head back, covered his face with his hands, and let out a high pitched whine.
“Ah, what do we have here? A shrimpy in distress?”

Summary
So, this was to be Shouyou’s new home.
He’d long heard tales of the Kingdom by the Sea, ruled for generations by the Azumane family. From the very moment he was old enough to understand, his parents had been telling him he would one day leave the Kingdom in the Clouds to marry a handsome prince from one of the most beautiful cities in the land.

Summary
Daichi crossed his arms over his chest, then bent his head to pinch at the bridge of his nose. “I hate to say it,” he sighed, slumping his shoulders in defeat, “But Tsukishima is kind of right. It would be easiest if someone shared.”
Before any of the team could get to more grumbling, the captain straightened up. “Noya and Hinata are the smallest,” he pointed out, locking eyes with each of them in turn. “Do you two mind?”

Summary
Kuroo chuckled, a little off-put by the guy’s silence. “What’s the matter, cat got your tongue?” His eyes flashed with excitement as a thought popped into his head. “Oh! Or perhaps you’re cursed? Please, please tell me you are! I really need to practice breaking bodily curses. Just come back tomorrow and I’ll have something ready for you!”

Summary
Kuroo was really good at talking to people. He improvised quickly with the information officers Tsukishima and Yachi had provided them with for the foundation of their cover. He seemed to always know just what to say to get someone to open up to him, no matter who he was talking to.
He was also very good at using Kenma as a prop.
He picked just the right times to pull Kenma in close by the waist. He pressed casual kisses to the top of Kenma’s head exactly when he needed to to make a story more believable. All Kenma really had to do was stand there and look cute.

Summary
“Are you okay? You look pretty green.”
Oh, yes. The voice. Kenma had forgotten that he wasn’t alone. He could sense a hand hovering over his arm, unsure. Kenma took one last steadying breath before responding.
“I’m a wood nymph. I’m supposed to be green.” His voice was low and hoarse, made rough around the edges from biting back the niggling urge to vomit.
“Okay, that’s good,” the voice said, a bit relieved. “But are you supposed to bleed out the side of your head?”
Kenma winced, made suddenly aware of the wetness against the back of his arm where he’d cast it over his face. “No,” he whispered, “That’s not supposed to happen.”

Squaring his shoulders, Kuroo pulled the door open and plastered on his signature confident grin. He could do this. Everything would be totally fine.
“You’re Kuroo?”
Mayday. Mayday. He was absolutely in no way whatsoever going to be fine.

Summary
“I was thinking,” he said, sagely tone clashing with the expression on his face, “That I need a kiss to make me feel better.”
Kenma blinked once. Twice. His ear twitched.
Kuroo watched closely, expectantly.

Summary
When Kuroo started humming along to the melody, harmonizing and embellishing just the way Kenma liked, he started to feel a little guiltier. He’d been cantankerous all day, being difficult and taking out his frustrations on Kuroo, who’d done nothing wrong. He was just following orders; it wasn’t his fault that they’d had to leave home and travel all the way to the coast, on foot, in the middle of winter.

Summary
All sensation left Kenma in a cool trickle starting at the crown of his head and ending at the tips of his toes. He watched, numb, as Kuroo’s eyes flicked to him.
“You can bring me back? What are you waiting for! Please, I don’t want to die!” Kuroo’s voice cracked as he begged Kenma for his life.

Summary
Those of them that were normally early risers or that fared a bit better on little sleep were quietly talking to whoever was next to them or scrolling through their phones while they waited. Tsukishima definitely doesn't care that Hinata is terrified, he's only helping him because he wants some peace and quiet.
