Dean tilts his head, eyes sliding past Sam as he considers it. “Okay, but the first person I saw—“ Dean’s eyes go wide.
“Yeah.” Sam swallows. “It was me.”
Or: Dean drinks a love potion. Sam is falling apart at the seams because he's been in love with his brother for more than a decade.

“Don’t be mad at me, Sammy,” Dean finally whispers. When Sam looks up, Dean is staring straight at him, his clear green eyes swimming in unshed tears. Sam understands; he knows all too well how it feels to lose his brother, knows even better the miracle of getting him back. He can’t be mad at Dean for making wild, impetuous decisions when faced with a life without his other half, but he’s so sick of the lies he could just scream.

A day ago, Asmodeus had said Castiel’s vessel was too pristine to be an effective bargaining chip. A few hours ago – by Castiel’s shaky estimation – efforts to rectify that had begun, and now he was being dragged back to his cell much worse for wear than how he’d entered it.
Castiel has a bad time while imprisoned by Asmodeus. Lucifer is surprisingly helpful, and eventually gets dragged into the mix.
