Haejoon is trembling like a leaf under his palm, and his lips are wobbling like he’s about to break into tears in the middle of his sleep. It’s a fitful rest, one where Eunyoung thinks he might shoot up from the bed in panic any second.
Eunyoung knows how to deal with a violent Haejoon. He knows how to deal with a worried Haejoon. He decidedly does not know how to deal with a crying, nightmare-having Haejoon.
Alternatively, Haejoon has a fever and Eunyoung comes to a realization.

Summary
The problem, Hikaru decides, is that Yoshiki is kind of a wimp. Yoshiki's gotten away with it for all these years because he's always been taller than the rest of them; no one's picking him out as an easy target at first glance. But if you know how to sniff these things out - and Hikaru does - Yoshiki's got that unmistakable wounded-animal quality to him, like a deer limping just a bit as it moves through the herd. The sort of guy you can't help but want to push around a little, just to see how far he'll let you take it.
Hikaru doesn't like that other people might be starting to see it, too.

Summary
Slowly, Kobeni untangles her fingers from one another, and links them around Power’s instead. Her palm is slicked with sweat, slimy and slippery in Power’s, but for some reason it doesn’t gross her out as much as it should. It feels natural, a manifestation of her innermost feelings that she’s allowing Power to experience as well. Wrapping her fingers around her wrist, she can feel the thrumming of her heartbeat in her veins, too-fast and fluttery under her skin. She presses down harder, so that the lines of her fingers carve red streaks into her arm, leaving ghost-white imprints when she pulls them away.
“Thank you,” she says, quietly, and the gleam in her eyes shines from so deeply within her so that Power has to look away.
Power has the unfortunate luck to be seated next to Kobeni on a plane ride, much to her initial disappointment, but once she gets to talking with her, it turns out she's really not as irritating as she seems. In fact, she might even be kind of cute.

Kobeni giggles. “I guess I just thought you’d look, I don’t know, pretty in it?” She must see the contemptment flicker behind Power’s eyes, because she waves her hands, backtracking over her statement. “I just, um. Seeing you onstage, you’re really… confident. Like you know who you are, and what you want to do, and you don’t care what anybody else has to say about it. I really admire that.”
It’s true that she’s confident— at least from an outside perspective. Power Hayakawa knows she’s badass, and she makes sure everyone knows it, too, from her shock of pink hair to her cool-girl clothes to her back-talking attitude. Some people call her intimidating, or too much, or even just bitch like she knows the rest of them are thinking. She wasn’t born with this innate capability, though. It’s been years and years of years, of having to provide for herself, of having no other choice but to be the best. In everything. Not just at school.
When Power joins the school play under Aki's instruction, the last person she wants to deal with is the annoying-ass, soft-spoken costume designer Kobeni-- even if she is kind of cute.

All they have to accompany them is the motion of the car bumping along the road, the flash of streetlights throwing shadows across their faces - and Hikaru, who wants to shrivel up and die.

Five minutes ago Hikaru was flipping through a magazine, stretched out on Yoshiki's bed while Yoshiki sat on the floor watching something on his phone. A normal afternoon - right up until Yoshiki turned around, frowning in that way he does when he has a question he's not sure he'll like the answer to. Yoshiki gives Hikaru that kind of look a lot, these days.
"Where do things go when you put 'em inside you? Impurities and stuff?"
And Hikaru shrugged, and said, "I dunno. If you really wanted to find out I guess you'd have to look for yourself."

Jason perched on rooftops and fire escapes and kept his eyes on the ground. He listened to police scanners and hacked into the Bats' comms.
He didn't look up.
He remembered it, though. The rush of adrenaline when he'd spot the bat illuminated in the sky. As Robin, it meant an adventure was to be had. It meant purpose. Magic.

Gaara is usually content with the role he plays in Naruto's life, but when Sasuke breaks his heart once again, he is unable to cope with it.
He wants so badly to give himself up to Naruto completely, and give him all the love he deserves, even when he knows he can never be Sasuke. He would do anything for Naruto to be happy, anything to soothe the hurt he feels in his chest.
Maybe that makes him selfish.
