Merrin decides that she will not seek blame where it is not deserved. She will forgive instead, not the breeze or the warmth of the day, but herself. She has been the voice of her fallen sisters, the final rush of blood for those who sought their revenge against Dathomir, and vengeance was all she knew once.
"Until you handed me your weapon and cradled my hands in yours, Cal Kestis." Merrin reaches out for Cal’s hand now, feeling her breath leave her body in a quiet shudder. "You gave me the choice to set myself free or fall deeper into despair. Now, I will do the same for you."
