Summary
It had been a joke, obviously, he knew that... but it still stung a bit, because it was true.
Wilbur was cackling, at him as they watched Philza sore above then and up towards the clouds, outstretching a dark grey wing to part the fluffy white poofs with hus feathers. Meanwhile Tommy attempted to go after him. A deep breath abd a running start he jumped off the Pube only to flutter down harmlessly to the grass far below. He lost his balance, sliding from his feet to his bum with a soft thump.
Above Philza landed next to Wilbur on the Pube both chuckling dowm at him.
"You're like a baby Elytrian! Need some flying lessons huh bub?" Wilbur hollered down to him. Philza laughed fondly in response at the joke.
As Tommy's eyes prickled with tears and he got up, brushing himself off, he thought, if they only new how true that was, how small he truly was.
