The world unfolded like a child's first attempt at Origami, being folded in and over itself, and unfolding, over and over again; the long held creases in the paper become familiar scenes, like when he breaks down her cell, or when they find a yellow raincoat, and lastly, and definitely leastly, when she drops him into that cold void.
You would think they would be bitter, with how they were doomed to repeat everything til the end, but in this cold, grey hell, they found a modicum of comfort in each other

Summary
this started out as slice of life snippets of SEES. it ballooned out to much more than that. I kind of treat these as character and relationship studies! they start out fun and lighthearted, but the Hurt Stick swooped in and i had no control over it and halfway through i realized i'm actually an angst writer OOPSIE
these take place in-between major game events starting in September. 'pretty boy' has a minor canon divergence, but things only really start diverging majorly from canon in 'i caught fire.' after that it sort of spirals into its own thing, lol.
i hope you enjoy SEES being messy teenagers! and, uh, let's say their journey to earning the happy ending (because they DO ALL GET ONE I PROMISE)
The mainline series is done! I'll still be publishing b-sides as the mood strikes, though :]

Summary
Jinshi has always sparkled for others, but Maomao has never been mesmerized by it. It was just another thing she was immune to. Now here he was, not particularly sparkly, just obviously in love, and Maomao felt what she could only describe as being enraptured.
Maomao knew she needed to say thank you, but at this moment she did not trust her tongue with words. She was afraid something rather mushy would come to her if she tried to speak, and she wasn’t ready for that yet. Which felt silly to acknowledge - that she had married this man, but was struggling to love him.
And it was not loving him - Maomao had deduced this now. It had almost nothing to do with Jinshi at all. Her constipation with regards to her own ability to love had nothing to do with her commitment to him, either. She cared for and admired him deeply, more than she had anyone else, except maybe Loumen. Maomao hopes someday she is able to admit that to him, but she is still accepting that it is even safe to admit to herself.
