Summary
Shen Jiu would like it to be known that he does not pout, and neither does he partake in any other similarly childish acts like huffing or crossing his arms or refusing to look at Mu Qingfang no matter how intense his stare is.
He’s doing none of that, of course. His pose, perched on the edge of the bed with his arms and legs crossed, is in fact very dignified, and the fact that he’s looking out the window at the gently swaying flowers has nothing to do with Mu Qingfang, who is sitting on a chair across from him, and is just him admiring the scenery.
One of his ankles being tied to one of the bedposts with immortal binding cable might be reason for such behavior, though.
Or:
Shen Jiu has been known to skip his mandatory health checks for as long as he could get away with it — now that Mu Qingfang finally has him in Qian Cao with no way to escape, he intends to use the opportunity to conduct a very thorough examination.

Yue Qinguyan frowned, trying to remember. His memory wasn’t that good, but for Xiao Jiu, he would try. “Something about being worried about you? That- That Heavenly Demons were immortal, but if anyone figured out a way to kill one from sheer stress alone it would be…” He trailed off; The words which didn’t make much sense when he was a child finally clicked. His eyes trailed towards Xiao Jiu’s huadian. Or, should he say, his zuiyin? “...you.”
Finally giving into the urge, he pressed a kiss against it. If he smeared it, Xiao Jiu could just bully him into helping redraw it.
There was a weird choked noise, which reminded Yue Qingyuan that his shidi was still in the room.

Summary
Shen Jiu wasn't the perfect parental or older brother-ly figure, but Shen Yuan was pretty damn grateful to have him.
Shen Jiu had raised and taken care of both of them throughout their years together—from that dingy flat owned by a sketchy man, all the way to having their own apartment and a more secure life. The problem was, that Shen Jiu had spent the last 30 years working his life away. He was, without question, lonely.
Hence, Shen Yuan would take the risk and set his brother up with a few romantic candidates! He would cure Jiu-ge's chronic loneliness and open the infamous Professor Shen's heart to love!
Except, Jiu-ge seems extremely adamant at already having a boyfriend? But what do you mean he's "overseas" and "you knew him before I was born"—and the fantastical, "we promised to marry at seven years old"?????
