He could handle yelling, and he was used to people fearing him, but watching the heartbreak in Remus’s eyes destroyed him. He knew when Remus returned to the dorm that night, Sirius staying up waiting to hear his curtains shut, that he’d lost the best thing that ever happened to him. He remembered the sounds of screams and sobs breaking through the messily cast silencing charm.

Summary
During a potions accident in the combined seventh/eighth year potions class Draco Malfoy is aged up to his 28-year-old self and Horace Slughorn is de-aged to his teenage self. By necessity McGonagall appoints Malfoy to teach the potions classes in Slughorn’s absence.
What follows is a confusing exploration of maturity and responsibility that throws Hermione for a complete spin. How did the immature and snappy Malfoy she knows turn into this chivalrous and competent man? Her life is completely overturned as the remaining Slytherins, devoid of their leader, turn to the Gryffindors for help and support.
She can’t afford to let herself get too attached to this man. After all what will she do when he inevitably turns back into his former self?

Wild curls undone, a green silky dress clung to the curve of her ass before flaring a bit and stopping mid-thigh. He knew those legs—had tried his damnedest not to memorize the cut of her calves, the shape of her quads, and the curve of her full ass. He had watched them shake at the end of her squat sets and cursed himself for imagining them shaking under different circumstances.
