Watching him move – sometimes, it made Bobby think Raz didn't weigh anything at all. He made it look effortless. Like he was made of some other kind of thing than bones and blood, the same kind of matter as the stars swimming on the edge of Bobby’s vision as he staggered onwards. Raz ran and he moved and he flew, like gravity was nothing at all to him.
The blow had come out of nowhere. Bobby had just watched in dumb shock as Raz fell out of the air, and hit the ground hard, and didn't get up again.
An empty stairwell's not a great place to try and fix a dislocated shoulder, but sometimes you have to make do.
