Leslie still didn't move until another shock jolted painfully through her and that finally forced her out from under the bed.
Badger was gone and she was in a bad state. If some kid saved her and was putting her up in his cruddy apartment to keep her out of black ops' way, she'd have to take it like the beggar she was.
"Hi," he said, once she'd fully extracted herself and sat back down on the bed. "My name's Clark."
He was big, and way too familiar seeming, though she couldn't quite place where. There really wasn't much else she got from him. He was just kind of a normal twenty-something year old.
"...Leslie," she said, eventually.
