Dally’s arm wrapped her, holding her up as he matched her grin with his own. He joined in on her screams- the both of them just screaming. Screaming about how they won. She’s practically screaming nonsense by that point. Her eyes looking up at him as the rain continues to pour down on them.
“Did you see me Dal? Did you see me? I kicked their asses!”
“Hell yeah you did! Saw you jump straight on that socs back too! That was tuff Ace!” She wasn’t sure if her smile could get any bigger than it already was. God Dally was probably the toughest greaser she knew and if he thought she was tuff then she was. She wasn’t sure why she wanted him to be proud of her but it sure did feel good.

Ponyboy’s voice cut through his thoughts. “Hey Dar… Can I ask you something?” The weaver in Ponyboy’s voice causes Darry to stop cleaning the dish in his hands and look over to his brother who refused to even look his way. The shakiness in his voice made his heart squeeze. There stood the same boy who used to sneak into his room and ask to sleep with him when his nightmares got too bad. The same boy who used to look up to Darry like he was a real hero.
“Of course, what is it little buddy”
Ponyboy pauses for a moment, the noise of the water running beside them the only thing cutting through the silence. Ponyboy inhales quickly before spitting out his question quickly. “What happened the week I was gone?”

Things were never supposed to go this far.
Not once in her life did she see herself sitting in a police station being asked questions about Bob Sheldon. To her Bob had seemed invincible, like a diamond being able to withstand everything thrown at it and left without a scratch. She hated him. She hated how he treated Cherry like a trophy and she hated how he seemingly got away with everything he did. for how much she had hated him she wouldn't go as far as to wish death upon him. no one deserves to die like how he did.

Summary
A Peter Parker & Avengers-centric series focusing on an alternate universe where Peter is forced to develop his skills a lot earlier on in the universe due to factors detailed in the first book. The resulting sequel(s) detail what effect this more highly trained Peter Parker could have on the events that play out in the MCU, such as Infinity War and Endgame. Features a natural development of a father-son type of relationship between Tony and Peter, as well as Peter's individual interactions with each of the Avengers, and the gradual mending of the friendship between Tony and Steve in order to actually portray the Avengers as a family, not just a team. Aunt May, Ned, and MJ are also heavily featured as well. In addition, readers are able to see Peter develop into a more confident and capable character, naturally growing into a similar version of his comic-book self while still being placed in the MCU.
Lastly, I can guarantee that each of the books and the series will have a happy ending; the movies already provide us with enough of the alternative. So if that is something you are concerned about, don't be- there will be astonishing amounts of angst, but also funny moments and plenty of comfort to balance it out!
