Summary
Side characters, if you really think about it, lived very easy lives.
It's easy when the spotlight's not on them. They got to show up, brush with the main character for a brief moment, then fade away peacefully into the background. Side characters didn't have development, or goals, or aspirations. They weren't burdened with pesky things like thoughts or dreams, but went on as the faceless silhouettes that were drawn en-masse, the crowds meant to be defeated by the hero.
That's the nice, comfortable lie she tells herself, anyway, the rule of nature she can't break. That, no matter how hard a side character may try, they were ultimately doomed to fail. They would play their part, act their role, then bow out to let the protagonist shine.

His heart broke.
"No." He groaned, pushing him up weakly. His arms gave out on him, and he collapsed back on the frozen ground. He reached a shaky arm out toward he beast he recognized as the Manticore, core warmed with hatred and vengeance of the monster who brought Nico and his sister so violently into their world. He didn't deserve to live. "No." ~~
OR: TOA mid book 5 will, nico, rachel, apollo & meg time travel back to PJO beginning of book 3 and change the timeline as we know it 😎

Summary
Michael was ready for his eternal rest. The trap had been sprung and caught everyone in its clutches. Michael decides to take his final rest within the ballpit. What he wasn't ready for was the ballpit to swallow him up and spit him out in somewhere a familiar yet unknown.
Or yknow, Game Michael ends up in the books! Canon probably not gonna look the same cause I wanna mess with things.
