“Fuck,” Chris muttered, holding himself back from throwing his phone across the plane. He’d gotten the message from Isaac seven hours ago and hadn’t been able to reach him since.
His original plan had been to get on a commercial flight, but since he couldn't reach Isaac and the earliest flight left the next day, he’d chartered a private one.
The fact that it’d been so long without being able to get a hold of him was making fear sit solid in the pit of Chris’s stomach.
He hadn’t wanted to go back to Beacon Hills, but Scott had insisted. He’d said the entire pack was going to die without help. It was just the next in a long line of shit that Scott couldn’t handle, but Chris couldn’t break his promise to Allison. He’d said he’d be there, so he would.
Looking at his watch, he cursed, realizing he still had five hours of flight time and another half hour of driving before getting to Isaac

“Shit,” Jasper mutters, and Guy nods in agreement. The baby’s got a tiny bit of hair of some indeterminate brown color, and the same tiny upturned nose that all babies seem to have, but if Guy looks at it long enough it looks almost like Jasper’s nose.
“He doesn’t have eyebrows,” Guy says quietly, because it’s true.
“He’s two minutes old,” Jasper counters, “give him a break. He hasn’t had time to grow any yet.”
“Some babies have eyebrows.” Guy traces a finger down the baby’s round cheek. Guy’s pretty sure he’s crying, but that’s fine. Jasper kisses his cheek and then cups the back of the baby’s head with one hand.Since 1922, Jasper has spent his entire life with only ghosts and a Maker bound to live forever in a cave for company, a long and lonely existence.
