It’s got nonsense Korean and it’s got the gibberish of html-errors and it’s got a bunch of incomprehensible English and if you translate it all and sort it out the most you can make of it is that it’s offering some kind of cheap deal on banking. The address of origin is a string of numbers and letters and so is the domain. It looks like spam.

As she watches his face change -- a barely visible wave of surprise, shock, acceptance, and fear all rolled into one and gone from his features so quickly, she thinks she might have imagined it -- she realizes that this is why they are what they are. In any other situation, with anyone else on her team and even with anyone else in her family, she doesn’t know if she could have been this candid. She doesn’t know if she could have been this forward. She doesn’t know if she could have said what she’d needed to say, not without having to explain herself or feeling guilty.
But with Clint, with the years of trust and forgiveness and betrayal and secrets spread between them, she could open herself up in the rawest way and know that he wouldn’t even blink.
He would care, though.
