Summary
The stars are bright and blazing above, the lack of light pollution — not that there was much on the server anyways — letting them show their full glory, paths of gas and rock creating lines of art, all above him.
If he could visit up there, he imagines it'd be cold. Colder than he's ever felt, despite him living in the antarctic. It'd probably be a sea of black, stars and planets and dots and gasses floating about. Being up there though, with everything, probably wouldn't be as beautiful as it is down here.
And yet he's warm, sitting here, fireplace going in the other room, surrounded by projects and memories dotted about, he's surprised by how much it swaddled him, how much it provides comfort. Safety, familiarity.
There's a brief moment when he wonders why he's rambling so much, but it's covered by the wave of warmth he finds himself wrapped in, both physically and mentally. A small part of his brain coos, purrs and chuffs, as if encouraging. It's soft, and his thoughts are muddled a little. There's a film of something covering his brain and preventing him from thinking straight, but it's safe. It's forgiving, and he can't help but lean into it, a little.

Tommy Innit is a very normal kid. He has friends, a warm bed to sleep in at night, and three square meals a day.
The only odd thing about him is that he has been sorta-kinda adopted into a family of space-traveling aliens. Oh, and the fact that humans are seen as the boogeymen of space. He's doing his best to prove to his crew that humans aren't that weird, but maybe they kind of have a point.
