Summary
Set after the Boiling Rock, Sokka just wants to help Zuko however he can. This leads to a small argument with Katara, where Zuko tries to protect Sokka and Katara from Hakoda (Hakoda wasn't going to hurt them, but how would Zuko know that having had Ozai as his father). Sokka listens to Zuko explain his childhood, having made several guesses about how bad it was after seeing how Zuko reacted to Hakoda. Hurt/Comfort.

Summary
Light and Dark. Love and Hate. Night and Day. Positivity and Negativity. Good and Bad. Yin and Yang. You can't have one without the other. There is always balance between the two. Some people just have a hard time seeing the good in things. Some people have others to keep them afloat, to help them see the brighter side of things. But some don't. Some wallow in the dark for far too long, and no one seems to notice until it's almost too late; or in some cases, it is too late.
Creek never had any true negative feelings towards the village's grey troll. He knows Branch is a good soul with a good heart. He's seen Branch interact with a few select Trolls (Ablaze, Hype, Boom, Trickee) and actually smile, actually laugh, and actually seemed more relaxed. That's all he wants, to see Branch be more positive. But whenever he tries, Branch always seems to be more tense. Why does he seem more happy with certain people, yet Creek basically gets the cold shoulder? Maybe a trip to the Neverglades can bring some secrets to light? Maybe a near death experience can bring the two closer?

Because there was a malnourished kid with an oozing bandage on his face, and two of the archers in his squad were arguing over what to do with him, and it was late, and he just wanted to knock everybody’s collective heads together and make this Not Happen Anymore.

A battered, 13 year old Zuko sneaks into Pohuai Stonghold for food since the Fire Nation dumped him in the woods with no supplies or men. The Yuyan Archers are impressed and wind up raising him.
Oh, also, the new kid can turn into a dragon, which is either super cool or super dangerous or super inconvenient depending on who you ask.
