    Summary

Vash almost dies, accidentally flirts with his best friend, has a crisis, almost dies some more, fucks his best friend on purpose, and nearly gets everything he wants. Not necessarily in that order.

Or, in other words: a complicated innuendo involving Chekov’s gun.

    Summary

Wolfwood’s hand didn’t shake, because such an action had been trained out of him years ago. He lifted the gun and cocked it, waited (hoped, maybe) for Vash to wake up from the noise.

    He didn’t.

Wolfwood felt the cool metal burn his hand as he raised the revolver. He stared impassively the barrel pointed at the back of Vash’s head.

    .

Wolfwood falls in love with a ticking time bomb again, and again, and again. Sometimes he thought he loved him too much. Sometimes he thought it wasn’t enough.

    Summary

Vash had seen other people as equals up until meeting Nicholas D. Wolfwood. He had smiled and treated them all fairly. Death happened to most of whom he had met during his time traveling around No Man’s Land, and yet he never thought too hard over it. Of course, he blamed himself for a great deal of it, but with Nicholas it felt larger. It was the words Vash was afraid to dare utter to any other living being. He couldn’t tie himself to someone, in case his name got them hurt. Nicholas was never meant to get hurt.

“Let him know that I love him. And keep a seat next to him for me. Please, God…”

Vash the Stampede lost the man he had secretly loved for ages. It tore him apart, just the sight of the lifeless corpse. He had to ask one thing of God, and that was that Nicholas D. Wolfwood wouldn't worry over anything in heaven.

    Summary

A pair of pupil-less teal eyes meet his own. Besides the small feathers sprouting on its cheekbones and its lack of ears, its face otherwise resembles a human's.

It opens its mouth—too wide, too much, just like everything else about it—revealing a set of sharp canines.

“Oh, shit,” is what comes out. “You saw me.”

When Nicholas D. Wolfwood finds a curious advert in the newspaper, he packs his suitcase and his cat, and leaves for the seaside in hope of peace and quiet—unaware the little cabin on the beach is already inhabited by a creature beyond his worst nightmares.
