Summary
Well, out of all the places he expected to be right now, Tommy can confidently say this is most definitely not one of them.
In the grave? Very probable. On the run from law enforcement? Weekly occurrence, basically but no. Crying in a dumpster somewhere? Never. He has never done that. Anyone who says so is a liar and most likely a very angry possum, so don't listen to them.
(Especially if the possum is an American. Two wrongs do not make a right.)No, Tommy isn't in any of those places, unfortunately. Instead, he's in a bank, held hostage by some stupid low level thugs just looking to make a quick buck and decided, ‘Hey, I know what we should do! We should hold this kid Big, Strong, Handsome man hostage! Great idea!’. Meanwhile, he's just trying to make big enough puppy dog eyes to one specific bank teller so they give him two lollipops instead of the one they normally do.
Tommy is starting to think he may never get those lollipops.
Or
Tommy is held hostage at the bank when he just wants lollipops but thank goodness, his years of manipulation have paid off in full. He will most definitely drag this out as much as possible

Summary
When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.
Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.

Just in time to meet Gillion’s shocked gaze.
Gillion, on the surface. Gillion, frozen at the doorway. Gillion, older and taller, wisps of green hair escaping from his braid to frame his face, blue eyes wide with shock, looking just as ruinous as the day he spat I’m meant for something greater and left.
“Chip?” he says softly.
Alternatively: When Gillion returned to the Undersea for good, Chip never expected to see him again.

James’ eyes stop; along with the natural rhythm of his breathing and the beat of his heart. If he wasn’t still standing upright he’d think he died just from one glance at the lead singer.
He sings into the microphone, his eyes shut tight and his hands gripped to the stand as he belts.
It isn’t – it can’t be.
His eyes open, and like a compass pointing north, that hauntingly familiar grey lands right on James.'In a room full of people I look for you.'

~Or. Three years ago, in a Paris nightclub, James sees Regulus dancing and falls for him on the spot. They agree to start a relationship, knowing it will have to end when James goes back to London, on the condition that afterwards they go completely no contact. By the time it ends they're both heartbroken but stick to their agreement and lose contact.
Years later they are still NOT over it and make it absolutely everyone else's problem.
Until James is invited by Sirius to watch his little brother's band and finds his ex stood at the microphone singing an album worth of songs about their month together in Paris.
