“So you wake up, I’m pressing it in… you look at me, I say—” he clears his throat a little, leans back over Gale—“It’s time.”
“I’ll haunt you, boy,” Gale grits in return, looking at John unblinking and holding his jaw tense. “I ain’t leavin’ you in peace.”
“I know,” John bites, and drives in the knife. Gale gasps and chokes, shudders like they rehearsed.
“Come on, boy.” Gale’s only reacting now, bracing and writhing as John pulls back the knife—that’ll be when the SFX guy starts pumping the blood. He glides light, trembling fingers over a spot under Gale’s ribs, before rubbing a bit harder, and then—
“What kind of foley you reckon they’ll put on this?” John muses, tapping his finger once against Gale’s skin. He sits up, and holds his other hand in a loose o, working the same finger in and out of the makeshift hole with a raised eyebrow. “Mac and cheese?”
