Not as a protagonist, not as a side character, but as the main villain who ends up killing the hero. In a race against the rules of Teyvat, aided by the last fragment of Deshret's divinity, Alhaitham must find a way to save the hero Kaveh's life before he has to take it. If he goes ooc, he dies, if he follows canon, Kaveh dies. Only through bargaining with the rules of the world can Alhaitham alter it. Can he alter it enough to save Kaveh? Kaveh gets stuck in a time loop, repeating March 11th over and over and over again. Powerless to stop the reset at midnight, Kaveh works to solve the puzzle. His methods range from simply waiting to his own gory and glorious suicide. Yet, he keeps waking up the next day to Cyno banging on his door to play Genius Invokation.
By contrast, Alhaitham, who is also stuck in the loop, decides this is the best opportunity to understand what makes Kaveh tick.
And like always, their communication is awful, both of them believing they are alone in the loop.
