That same thing is what spikes his pulse whenever they fight and fall in that easy rhythm. Exhilaration, too, but mostly the tilting of his world on its side. He sobers up pretty quickly, and with his newfound clarity he is starkly reminded of the reason he’d gotten high in the first place. The world is quiet, quiet in a way that sets Jabber’s teeth on edge - quiet in that violently intense way, making the sky and ground close in on Jabber. He wants to rip his skin from his bones, just to try and save himself from drowning in the silence.
He needs to feel something.
