Summary
Izuku grins, “No way!” Pa ignores him, choosing instead to give him an extra squeeze.
Izuku inhales sharply, eyes widening, trying his best not to tense under Pa’s touch. It might’ve been too late. He didn’t make it too obvious, did he? A burning pain radiates from his torso, engulfing the whole area with sparks.
This has been recurring since that night, but there’s no running from it now– it hurts. That can’t be it though, not when the fire in his throat becomes too prominent to ignore anymore. It’s not only the cuts but also the fact that his Dad and Pa are right here. They are quite literally within arm’s reach and he still feels guilt encompassing him for taking up their time, for forcing them to have this talk in the first place.
It’s a war in his mind; Izuku just wants to feel safe and secure with them. He used to have no qualms talking about anything and everything in his mind.
He doesn’t want to feel like this anymore.
The treatment he faces at school start taking a toll on Izuku, and he's determined to hide it from has dads. It works until it doesn't.

There is a reason why he catches himself before a genuine laugh with his friends. And why he trains and trains and trains. Or when he purposefully gets one or two answers wrong on his tests because Deku got a 100? Who did he cheat off of this time?
But no one has noticed, and Izuku won’t bring it up. It’s better that way, and much easier.
Rid the world of the burden of your thoughts already.
Izuku sighed and rubbed his hands to shake the anxious feeling away before turning around to turn off the lamp, dousing his room in darkness.
He’d be happy to.
Or: Izuku gets affected by a quirk that gives him self-deprecating thoughts until he gets the help of Aizawa-sensei.

At this, his eyes meet Atsumu’s, and they’re filled with mirth. “Ya like my baby,” Atsumu accuses him instead.
Sakusa looks at Hikaru like Atsumu’s talking bullshit, but his eyes are curled at the edges in something that’s close to Suna’s face when Hikaru crawls into his lap. He pokes the adorable mole on Hikaru’s cheek and finds the audacity to say, “He’s tolerable.”
Or, the one in which Atsumu isn't Spiderman, but he's a single dad, and that's pretty much the same thing.
