It was just after Liam and his boyfriend had officially called it quits when Alex had moved back to Texas and was hosting a housewarming barbecue. Now here he is, in Alex’s backyard, and never in a hundred years when they were growing up did he imagine he would be at a casual party with this group. It isn’t until June throws a balled-up napkin at them and groans “Get a room!” that he even realizes how long he’s been talking (and flirting) with just Pez.
Pez smiles brightly and stands up, offering a hand to Liam. “Well, darling, if you insist, perhaps we shall. Liam? Care to join me for the rest of the night?”

“Do you need a seder?” Nora says, speaking before she thinks of it. “Come to ours!”
“One problem with that, babe,” June interrupts, “is that ‘our seder’ is in Boston, where we live, and Wes clearly lives here in Brooklyn.”
Nora takes a moment to consider the facts and the solution. “So we’ll have it here in Brooklyn!”

Summary
Queen Mary dies on a Tuesday.
Despite the fact he’s pretty sure he has a good few “how outdated is the monarchy???” thinkpieces in him at any given time, Alex does not like any of the tweets, and he deliberately avoids posts from people he knows would delight in having something they could spin into a bisexual Mexican–American trying to topple the monarchy. For now, anyway.
Basically, he has to hand Cash his phone. He is such a good boyfriend.
Although he does reply to Pez’s text of the audio to Ding, Dong the Witch is Dead (and accompanying confetti gifs) with a long series of ellipses and then a thumbs up.

But sitting across from David Hollander for the first time in his life, Ilya began to count all the David in Shane too—the wide shoulders, the reserved composure, the expressive eyes. Those same eyes were now assessing Ilya as they waited for Shane and Yuna to finish their talk outside. There was no censure in David’s gaze; merely curiosity. Ilya was used to disappointed fathers; he didn’t know what to do with a kind one.
