Bucky tapped him on the shoulder, swaying back and forth a little as he waited for the man to turn around. “Hello,” he said, and then promptly forgot what else he was going to say, because this guy was fucking beautiful. “Wow. Good face.”
Two of the guy’s friends, a man wearing a suit that fit so well it had to be bespoke and a man with a cute little gap between his front teeth, started cracking up. The petite redhead sitting next to them cocked her head to the side and pulled her phone out of her handbag. Beautiful Face just looked kind of pained, so Bucky redirected. He was a gentleman. He could take a hint. No hitting on beautiful guys who were uncomfortable with that sort of thing, no matter how lickable their jawlines were.
“Hello,” he repeated, doing his best to mind his manners. “I’m very sorry to bother you. Can I have a piggy-back ride?”

“I’ve never experienced a dare that goes outside of the typical gaming period,” Henry says, his shoulder bumping into Alex’s as he curls a knee up to his chest. “How would we even keep track of such a thing?”
Nora directs a devilish, sideways grin at Alex, and the realization hits him like a goddamn freight train.

James had only been in the Caribbean a few months before he found the Three Ducks, the closest Nassau had to a molly house; he hadn’t been expecting much, but then he met Jack.
Jack hadn’t intended to get involved with a British sailor, much less one who was very probably Navy; but James was an utter delight, both in and out of bed.
They established rules early on: no surnames, no identifiable details. Blissful ignorance and all. But they both knew deep down that the rules were really more like guidelines anyway.
Or: me wondering what CotBP would be like if Jack and James already had an established relationship.

His throat spasms, convulsing, as he doubles over in pain, clutching at his chest and his throat. He feels, at his core, the deepest part of his truest self, his heart dislodge. Within a second, impossibly fast, he watches it come up and out of his mouth. It goes so easily– if you ignore the searing pain that Chip can’t even place the origin of– as if it was just Chip losing his earlier lunch.
All of his crew members shout out their surprise, all of them turning to watch Chip lose himself. They’d hardly recruited Gryffon, let alone Queen, and already they'd been thrown into the deep end, forced to accompany Chip on his pointless whims– He’d been the one to bring them here, to rally them to his selfish cause, and, as loyal as always, they’d come gladly.
Just like all the other times, this loss is nothing if not something he brought on himself.
